Huddersfield Town have hired one former Liverpool coach.

Just a few seasons ago, the Terriers were playing in the Premier League.

But now they find themselves competing in EFL League One, the third tier of English football.

They endured a mid-table finish in League One this season, finishing with 64 points to their name.

Ahead of the coming season, The Terries have made a few changes to their coaching staff.

The League One club hired former Manchester United goalkeeper Lee Grant.

The former goalkeeper will look to take the Terriers forward from League One, with promotion to the Championship the aim, and he has brought in a few people who will work with him to achieve that aim.

One of the people Grant has brought in at the club is former Liverpool youth team coach Marc Bridge-Wilkinson.

Bridge-Wilkinson joined Liverpool in 2015, moving from being the club’s U14s coach till the U18s, before leaving the club at the end of this season.

Bridge-Wilkinson played a pivotal role at the Liverpool Academy during his period at the club.

The likes of Jarell Quansah, Conor Bradley and Tyler Morton were among the U18s group he led to an FA Youth Cup final, all of whom have taken that important next step to the LFC first team, among many others.

He has now returned to Town having left the Club to become the Under 14s coach at Liverpool Academy in 2015.

Huddersfield Town Manager Lee Grant commented:

“I am thrilled to welcome Marc, Paul, and Jonathan to Huddersfield Town – three exceptional professionals who join us as Assistant Coaches.

“Their diverse backgrounds, dedication, and commitment to excellence will be invaluable to us as we continue to grow and build something special at this club?

Each brings a unique outlook and energy that aligns with our values and future aspirations.

“Their leadership and character will play a major role in amplifying the work that we do on and off the pitch, as we work towards success together.

“I look forward to working alongside them and I am confident that they will make a significant and positive contribution to Huddersfield Town.”
